Welcome to Patriot Elementary!

My name is Jayme Melton and I am honored to serve as the Dean of Students! Patriot is known for being student-centered and for our commitment to aid each individual child's progress toward their educational goals by providing exceptional conditions of learning and engaging all students. It is my goal to support the teachers and students in their pursuit of these goals.

Before becoming the Dean of Students, I had the pleasure of teaching at Almondale Elementary as a Kindergarten teacher starting in the fall of 2000. Once Patriot opened its doors in 2002, I’ve taught here as a Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th-grade GATE teacher. I’ve served on multiple committees and have served as a grade-level mentor for the Rosedale Union School District. Prior to teaching, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University and my Teaching Credential from Point Loma Nazarene University. Since then, I’ve also earned a Master's Degree from California State University, Bakersfield in Curriculum and Instruction.

I know how important it is to have productive communication between teachers and administrators. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
