About
ABOUT RMS:
Located in northwest Bakersfield on Rosedale Highway, Rosedale Middle School is the most tenured school in the Rosedale Union School District. Starting as the lone school in the district in 1890 (then simply called Rosedale School), RMS was officially changed to a middle school in 1980, educating 5th through 8th grade students, and then in 1997, moving to a traditional 7th and 8th grade middle school. Since then, RMS has become one of the perennial public academic institutions, routinely performing as one of the top middle schools in Kern County. From the teachers, to the administration, to our instructional aides and custodians, we are deeply committed to continuing our proud legacy for our students each and every year. We value creating a place that our students are proud of and want to come to school.
Mission: Our mission is to commit each year to educating all students in an academically, emotionally, and physically supportive environment so that they may become productive and informed citizens of our community.
