About Us
Rosedale North Elementary is a Pre K-6 school and one of nine schools in the Rosedale Union School District. Built in 1976, Rosedale North has been committed to providing an outstanding education to students in Northwest Bakersfield for over 40 years.
The staff is comprised of 40 certificated and 32 classified employees that serve approximately 500 students who “Work Hard to Get Smart” everyday. This motto embodies a growth mindset emphasizing the belief that all students can learn at high levels. This belief is promoted by providing students with a rigorous, standards based curriculum that is designed to prepare them for college, career, and the challenges of the 21st century. Effective instruction is enhanced with small class sizes averaging less than 24 in grades K-3 and less than 30 in grades 4-6.
Rosedale North is a Title I school and receives federal funding enabling additional support in the areas of reading and math for at risk learners. Differentiated instruction is provided for all learners including GATE students and English Learners. Special education services are provided in six pre-K classes, two learning centers, and in the general education classrooms. In partnership with parents and the community, the Rosedale North staff is committed to providing a comprehensive educational program that allows for children to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically encouraging them to become positive, productive citizens and lifelong learners.
